KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin attended the 221st meeting of the Conference of Rulers at Istana Negara here yesterday. The meeting was chaired by the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail.The Rulers of the other states were present except for Pahang, which was represented by the Tengku Mahkota, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, Kelantan by its Regent Tengku Muhammad Faris Petra Sultan Ismail Petra, and Terengganu by the president of the Regency Advisory Council Tengku Sri Panglima Raja Tengku Baderulzaman Sultan Mahmud.
The Rulers and Governors were accompanied by their respective Mentris Besar and Chief Ministers except for Kelantan, which was represented by its Deputy Mentri Besar and Sarawak by a Deputy Chief Minister. The meeting, among others, discussed matters related to religion, defence, security, appointments, economy and industrial development. — Bernama
