No to compulsory history lessons.
COMMENT Minister of Education Muhyiddin Yassin recently announced that history would be made into a compulsory subject in examinations. This means that a student must take history as an examination subject, and pass it. Failing it would render him failing the whole exam.
COMMENT In view of the knowledge-based and highly technical world of today, why not a compulsory pass in maths and science rather than history?
